Havana Marking has gained much recognition with her debut documentary, AFGHAN STAR, which captured the Audience Award and earned Marking the Directing Award at The Sundance Film in 2009. In addition to feature documentaries, she has produced TV docs, both factual entertainment and one-off polemics, for over 10 years now. Past credits include THE CRIPPENDALES (2007), a 30min film about the first troupe of disabled strippers which won the Channel 4 Sheffield scheme for New Talent and GREAT RELATIVITY SHOW (2005), a series of animated shorts (3MW) that explained the Theory of Relativity and won a Pirelli Science award. As a producer, Marking has worked on some of the most successful UK formats and films such as THE F WORD, MICHAEL PALIN: HIMALYA, and RIVER COTTAGE among others.
