Carter Gunn & Ross McDonnell
Ross McDonnell is an Irish filmmaker and photographer. This two-time nominee Irish Film and Television Award nominee has had his work screened at festivals around the world. His documentary short REMEMBER ME MY GHOST, was awarded second place at the Tornoto Worldwide Short Festival, and most recently his documentary COLONY, which he co-directed with Carter Gunn, made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and later went on to win the First Appearance Award at IDFA in Amsterdam. As a photographer McDonnell’s work has been published in popular publications such as The New York Times, Art in America, and The Observer. Filmmaker Carter Gunn graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2005 with a BA in film. He is best known for the award-winning documentary feature COLONY, which he co-directed with Ross McDonnell. When Carter isn’t at work behind the lens, he enjoys writing, painting, running, and bouldering.
