Molly Bernstein has worked extensively as an editor on documentary films including JEROME ROBBINS: SOMETHING TO DANCE ABOUT for AMERICAN MASTERS on PBS (winner of 2009 Emmy and Peabody Awards), WITNESSES TO THE 20th CENTURY and LIBERTY. She graduated with a BA in European history from Barnard College, as well as a MFA in film from Columbia University. In addition to her educational training, Molly’s career has been shaped by the time her two year stay in Berlin and early training from Martin Scorsese, Arthur Penn, and others. Alan Edelstein received an Academy Award nomination for his documentary short THE WIZARD OF STRINGS, a profile of the 1920′s string instrumentalist and vaudeville star Roy Smeck. He has worked as a writer and producer for Nowak Associates, Great Projects Film Company, and Sundance Channel, among others. A journalist as well as filmmaker, he has written on arts and culture for publications including The New York Times, the Forward, and Harvard University's Transition.
