Lorenz Knauer has worked in documentary film and television for more than 30 years. His most recent film, JANE’S JOURNEY, has been invited to festivals around the world and was honored with the so-called green Oscar - the “International Green Film Award” - by the Cinema for Peace Foundation at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2011. Another one of his feature portraits, THE RIVER ISAR, was one of the highest rated docs on Bavarian Television and was acclaimed at a number of international film festivals. Knauer has directed and produced several films for the renowned 37°C documentary series, including the award-winning MISS BABY OR THE DRAMA OF THE PERFECT CHILD and FORBIDDEN CALLING: CATHOLIC WOMEN PRIEST IN AMERICA.
