David Shapiro is an artist, writer, and filmmaker. Shapiro’s films and artwork have been profiled in “The New Yorker,” “The Village Voice,” and featured on the cover of “World Art Magazine;” he is represented by the Leibman Magnan Gallery in New York. He recently released his first feature documentary, KEEP THE RIVER ON YOUR RIGHT. He is currently working on the feature length film WASTE MANAGEMENT and a feature adaptation of KEEP THE RIVER ON YOUR RIGHT,co-written with his sister and documentary collaborator, Laurie Gwen Shapiro. Lauarie Shapiro is a filmmaker, who made her directorial debut with the documentary feature KEEP THE RIVER ON YOUR RIGHT. Shapiro is the co-producer of THE MCCOURTS, which aired on HBO/Cinemax and many international stations. She is also the author of the comic novel THE UNEXPECTED SALAMI.
