synopsis
78-year-old Tobias Schneebaum has lived quite the life: grew up in Brooklyn with Norman Mailer, studied to be a Rabbi and painter and then made headlines in the 1950’s when he traveled to Peru to live with a tribe who practiced cannibalism and slept with male tribesmen. Filmmakers David and Laurie Shapiro induce Schneebaum to travel back to Peru to visit the ancestors of the tribe he lived with, resulting in an extraordinarily moving viewing experience.
